Speaker: Abide

Josh from Abide came to inspire our Kiwanis Club.

Abide is a mission in North Omaha that works with people to create a stronger, safer community.

Abide now has 31 Lighthouses. Homes around North Omaha that families now live in. Homes that Abide rehabilitated with help of local vendors to keep costs in line.

Abide also hosts block parties to bring together families in the community so they know each other and have an opportunity to meet and socialize.

Josh grew up in a family of 14 kids. To get out of the house and his neighborhood, Josh worked for a basketball scholarship with Creighton. After he tore his ACL, Josh lost his basketball dream but found a new life with his wife and moved back to North Omaha.
