There has been a huge increase in poverty in the U.S.
Neighborhood development gets to the root of issues. InCommon built a community center 2 years ago in Park Ave area. Gives a “front door” to the people in the area.
Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) – who are they? Started with churches organized into Neighbors United. Foster relationships with community meals, Zumba, job training programs, and setting up a recycling business to employ people.
