Speaker: Dr. Shawn Schmidt, Flag Enthusiast

Shawn woke up the ever alert KCOGO membership with an intriguing history of American flags from the revolutionary war to the present.  The member entered the Lighthouse room surrounded by flags, both replicas and originals.

Shawn’s passion about flags and the stories they represent was very well received by the members.

Spoil Alert: we may be inviting Shawn back after the first of the year to tell his story to other clubs in Division 20 in the larger room.

Thanks Lyle Japp for bring Shawn to us.

Speaker: Living Word Ministry

Debbie Blank of Living Word Ministry presented an interesting history of the middle east, the occupation of the area by nations and tribes and the division of territory resulting from numerous conflicts and peace accords.

The question: “what will it take for there to be peace in the middle east” prompted several questions from club members.

Thank you Debbie!
