Our District Convention is August 9 and 10. Please contact Brian or John if you are available to attend!

As I mentioned in the meeting yesterday I am not able to attend the district convention this Saturday in Altoona. If somebody else would like to attend along with John Manley and Jack Pagel please let them know. I apologize for the late notice but unfortunately its unavoidable. In the absence of a third attendee I will reimburse the club for my registration fee.

Especially of interest was the conversation on the Durham’s extensive archives on the history of Omaha.

This flavorful fundraiser will provide a day of bacon inspired activities including a Kids Corral (play area), Omaha area bands, vendor booths, games, celebrity judges, family activities. You won’t want to miss the Farmland Bacon Cook Off featuring their DURoC pork bellies and hand trimmed, hardwood smoked bacon!

Your ticket price would be $18.00 for adults (which is a 25% savings!) and $5 for children, ages 5 though 12. Admission is free to children under 5.

The first annual BaconFest Omaha offers fun for the whole family while supporting all of the wonderful programs and affordable memberships offered by the Kroc Center.
